On Tuesday, May 22, 2018, Education and Science Counsellor of Australian Embassy Tokyo, visited NIAD-QE and met with Hideki Fukuda, President of NIAD-QE and other executive members and advisors of NIAD-QE. Information was exchanged between the parties mainly on topics of particular interest by the Counsellor, including the state of affairs between NIAD-QE and Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) of Australia, an agency with which NIAD-QE concluded a Memorandum of Co-operation, NIAD-QE programs such as 'CAMPUS Asia' Monitoring and awarding of academic degrees, and recent development in quality assurance in relation to progress in Japan's higher education system, such as quality assurance for professional universities and joint degrees. Both sides also reaffirmed their commitment to continue to work together to improve higher education among Japan and Australia.
