NIAD-UE Holds Meetings with QAA
NIAD-UE held the meetings with QAA (the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education) in the United Kingdom from 22 to 24 May, 2007. From the NIAD-UE side, President Tsutomu Kimura and four staff attended. On 22 May, the talk between the two principals, President Kimura and QAA's Chief Executive Peter Williams, was held in London. It focused on the direction of collaborative projects between the two institutions, the 2008 APQN Conference and Annual General Meeting in Tokyo area, and the recent trend in quality assurance of higher education. From 23 May, NIAD-UE's delegation visited QAA's Head Office in Gloucester to have meetings with staff of International Collaboration Team, Publications, and Developments and Enhancement Group. They discussed the specifics of future collaborative projects, and proposed new projects. It was the first time to have face-to-face meetings since they entered into the MoU last February, and were very meaningful for further developing their relationship. |
