Since its establishment in September 2019, the National Information Center for Academic Recognition Japan (NIC-Japan) has served as a NIC under the Tokyo Convention and the Global Convention to provide information for the smooth recognition of higher education qualifications, to improve the international mobility of students and researchers.

As part of this effort, we have been holding the "NIC-Japan Seminar Series," in which experts from Japan and overseas discuss various topics related to the recognition of foreign qualifications, including examples of such qualifications and different education systems.

Following the FCE Training Program (Online Webinar) on July 29, we will hold the FCE (Foreign Credential Evaluation) Training Special Program. Through presentations and practical exercises delivered in an in-person format, this program is designed to support the improvement of participants’ practices and the enhancement of the quality of their work.

In Japan, there is an urgent need to develop professionals capable of evaluating foreign academic credentials and qualifications in the context of increasing international student mobility. NIC-Japan supports the development of such professionals through training programs.

Further details are available in Japanese.
