2,269 October-2021 Applicants Received Bachelor's Degree after NIAD-QE Degree Examinations
NIAD-QE awards Bachelor's degrees twice a year, in April and October, to learners who have acquired enough academic credits and sufficient academic attainments in their discipline, other than matriculated university students.
As provided in the School Education Act, NIAD-QE is the only entity besides universities that is authorized to confer degrees in Japan.
The FY2021 October session of NIAD-QE Degree Examinations was held on Sunday, December 12th and 19th, 2021. The interview took place in Tokyo on December 12th and the thesis examination was conducted in Tokyo and Osaka on December 19th.
On Monday, February 21th, 2022, the Committee for Validation and Examination of Degrees conducted a review of the Bachelor's degree awarding based on the results of reviews over earned credits and learning outcomes/examinations conducted by the expert committees and section meetings, and 2,269 out of 2,348 October-2021 applicants passed and were awarded Bachelor’s degrees by NIAD-QE.
