Event: The ASEAN+3 Higher Education Quality Assurance Forum (Tuesday 1 October, 2013)This event has been finished

What is this event?

The higher education in East Asia region is witnessing the increasingly dynamic student mobility that results from a variety of factors including politics, economy and labor market as well as education. How do East Asian countries address the challenge and implement their policies as regards international students and human resource development at large to meet society’s demand for talents? How do higher education institution sectors in the region respond to this? How does quality assurance, as conceived as an interface between higher education and society, contribute to the promotion of such policies and the improvement of the balance between society’s needs for and higher education institutions’ provision of human resources?

Those are the focal questions to address in this Forum. In the Forum we will be more informed of the principles and visions of student mobility in East Asia through talks on the general trends in the area and will share the status quo and ideas by way of reports from countries.

Some case studies on student exchanges in East Asia will be also presented in a dedicated session by ‘CAMPUS Asia’ program providers.
