News: NIAD-UE Holds Meeting with HEEC

On 26 June 2007, NIAD-UE visited the Higher Education Evaluation Center of The Ministry of Education (HEEC) in Beijing, China, in order to have a meeting to discuss the future cooperation between the two institutions in the field of quality assurance in higher education.

Vice-President Akihiko Kawaguchi and three other staff from NIAD-UE, Director Liu Fengtai and five staff from HEEC attended. The discussion focused mainly on the conclusion of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), and proposed future collaborative projects. Their recent activities of evaluation and international affairs were also presented.

Through this meeting, they shared the recognition that it is of great importance for further developing the cooperation between Japan and China in this field. It was a very meaningful opportunity toward signing the MoU.
