Topics: Committees for 2008 APQN Conference Ready to Work
| The International Advisory Committee (IAC) for 2008 APQN Conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM) has started its work. As the Local Planning Committee (LPC) has already started, whole system for organizing 2008 Conference and AGM has become ready to work. IAC and LPC have been decided to be set for organizing 2008 APQN Conference and AGM. Although the LPC, which is composed of the representatives of NIAD-UE, JUAA, and JABEE, has already started last October, IAC was still in the way of nominating the members until this January. Finally the member list of IAC has been determined and the members met together on February 5 for the first time in Kuala Lumpur, the venue of 2007 Conference and AGM. The Chair of IAC is Dr. Tsutomu Kimura, President of NIAD-UE which is the host institution of 2008 Conference and AGM. Other members are nominated from the Program Committee of 2007 Conference and AGM, new Board members of APQN, and the representatives of LPC (see below for all members). For organising 2008 Conference and AGM, LPC will be in charge of making initial drafts. Then IAC will finalize them and propose to APQN Board. IAC will work as the liaison between APQN Board and LPC. IAC and LPC have only one year to organize the 2008 Conference and AGM. Their active work is expected for great success. |
